When London musicians Yiannis, Alex and James started The Tricks they had one goal in mind: To create a band that mixes through songs like a DJ and deliver mind-blowing live experiences.
The Tricks show is a celebration of all the best music from the 50’s to the present day, delivered in a series of beautifully flowing, DJ inspired medleys and mashups that create nonstop joy and excitement.

What band sizes do you offer?We offer anything from a 3-piece right up to 12-piece luxury band featuring multiple singers and a brass section.

Can I choose the set list?Yes, we can tailor our set list to your taste. We have a vast list of medleys and individual songs you can choose from. For the best party atmosphere we like to recommend choosing music to suit all your guests' tastes and not just your own :)

Do you provide PA & lights?Yes. We tailor our set up to suit your event and chosen band size. We own a high quality, premium HK Audio PA system which delivers a crisp, clear and comfortable sound. We also provide intelligent, colour-changing lighting for both the stage and dance floor, giving you the perfect atmosphere to party.

Will the band provide music between sets?Yes, we can provide a Spotify playlist or you can upgrade to have a live DJ.

How long does it take for the band to set up?Usually around 1hr 15mins, however this can vary depending on band size and load in access

What if my venue has a sound limiter?A typical sound limiter will be set to a decibel limit and will cut the power if the sound is exceeded for a few seconds. There will usually be a traffic light system which shows up red if the sound exceeds the limit. Most of the time sound limiters are manageable but occasionally they can be a problem and disrupt an event. Often it's the audience singing along that trips it and not the music. We advise you to speak to previous venue customers and see if they had any problems.

Can we see you live before booking?We occasionally host live showcases to give customers an opportunity to meet us and see us live in action. Sign up to our mailing list and we'll let you know when dates are announced.

What are your rates?Rates vary depending on travel distance, time of year and band size. Please get in touch and we'll be happy to provide you with a full quote tailored to your event.

How do I book?Complete our online contact form and we'll send you a full quote with everything we offer. Once you've chosen your options, complete our online booking form. We'll then send you an agreement so e-sign along with an invoice for 20% of the full balance. This will secure your date and finalise your booking. The remainder of the balance is due 5 working days prior to your event. We accept debit and credit card via a secure online payment link.

What if a band member can't make it?We have a number of dep musicians who are trained up and ready to go incase of illness or emergency. Our reputation is extremely important to us and we understand how important your event is. That's why we take every precaution to ensure everything runs smoothly on the day and you get the best experience possible.

Is the band insured and equipment PAT tested?Yes, we hold Public Liability Insurance up to £10m and all equipment is annually PAT tested to ensure safety. All certificates are available on request.
